Today's moment of zen is dedicated to the word "mandate".  45 must not understand that words aren't magical (at least for us muggles) and simply saying  "I mandate" something doesn't make it actually happen or get included in a healthcare bill.

April 29th-100 Days, 100 Nights

Today's moment of zen is dedicated to reality.  45 doesn't live in it but the rest of us do and the sad truth that it's only been 100 days.

April 28th-Describe Your Feelings in Three Letters or Less!

Today's moment of zen is dedicated to National Security.  45 needs to stop his inane tweets about North Korea disrespecting China and ending it with one of his signature lines (guess was it Bad! or Sad!).  He sounds like a petulant child.

April 27th-"It is not what we have that will make us a great nation; it is the way in which we use it" -TR

Today's moment of zen is dedicate to our National Parks.  How dare 45 try to blame Democrats for theoretically ruining family vacations to those parks when he's: A. Proposed funding cuts to those parks B.  Just signed an executive order to review national monuments going back to 1996 in hopes of rolling back protections C. Probably wants to build Trump golf courses in all our national parks.  OK, so the last one was made up but I wouldn't put it past him to try!

April 26th-Let IT Sink Back In The Ocean

Today's moment of zen is dedicated to Puerto Rico, apparently you are just as much a disaster as Obamacare.  Your offenses merit a call out by 45 BUT without any context as to why you are such a disaster.  Don't worry though, our short attention span POTUS will probably move on by tomorrow.  I mean he has run out of North American countries to attack but the Caribbean is full of easy targets...

April 25th-Oh Canada...How Could You?

Today's moment of zen is dedicated to Canada.  First we go after Mexico and now it's Canada's turn.  Apparently they have been screwing us on milk and lumber.   Maybe that's 45's strategy, just keep pissing off our neighbors until they build walls on their sides of the border eh?

April 24th-Coming to AMAR-A-LAGO.

Today's moment of zen is dedicated to conflicts of interest.  The state department posted on their promotional website "Share America" a travel blog style article promoting 45's private club.  Seriously, this happened and they only took it down after the potential problems with it were pointed out to them.  I really think that POTUS could sign an executive order forcing American companies to only sell Trump branded crap and people still would not care about how this man is profiting from the presidency.  

April 23rd-I'll Gladly Get The Money From Mexico Tuesday If You Pay For It Today!

Today's moment of zen is dedicated to the Democrats.  Hold strong, remember by opposing any border wall funding in the budget resolution this week you are just helping 45 stick to his campaign promise to have Mexico pay for the wall.  

April 22nd-That's A Sweet Earth You Might Say!

Today's moment of zen is dedicated to the earth, you know we only have one right?  45 actually tweeted that he's "committed to preserving the natural beauty of our nation". He has already demonstrated that by allowing companies to dump coal ash into our waterways, letting birds eat animals shot with led and then die from it, and releasing a budget that dismantles and guts funding for the EPA.   He really is that much of a hypocrite.  I just hope that he doesn't destroy the beauty of this nation before we can get him out of office.  

April 21st-Dear America, I.O.U. 1 Border Wall, Your Friend, Mexico

Today's moment of zen is dedicated to the government funding bill. What should be a routine bill to keep the government funded looks like it might be headed for a showdown if 45 insists it includes money for his border wall.  You remember the border wall, the one that Mexico is paying for in some hypothetical way, in the future. Maybe they wrote us an I.O.U? That's got to be worth something right?  I mean it couldn't be that Americans are going to wind up bearing the cost at the same time domestic programs are gutted right?  

April 20th-Aloha From Some Island in the Pacific

Today's moment of zen is dedicated to Hawaii aka "an island in the Pacific".  Apparently Jeff Sessions doesn't think a judge (a Federal judge) on some island in the pacific (a part of the United States) should be able to have a say on 45's travel ban.  Someone needs to give him a history and a civics lesson stat!

April 19th-Where's The Ship?

Today's moment of zen is dedicated the "armada" that was lost at sea, well sort of lost at sea since apparently the White House and the Pentagon couldn't quite agree on where it was or where it was headed for the past week.

April 18th-Do As I Say, Not As I Do

Today's moment of zen is dedicated to 45's "Buy American Hire American" hypocrisy of an executive order.  The man and his family make all their clothing brands in China, hire foreign workers, yet have the gall to say that the problem is everyone else isn't putting America First.  The hypocrisy is mind numbing....

April 17th-Scare Tactics

Today's moment of zen is dedicated to the "super liberal democrat" aka Jon Ossoff who has Trump running scared enough to merit his own tweet about how he's going to let the criminals and illegals run amok and take all your money! Beware the scary Democrat Georgia!!

April 16th-Sit Back and Let The Professionals Handle The Protests

Today's moment of zen is dedicated to all the protesters (which is another way of saying all the unpaid protesters).  45 just can't wrap his tiny hands around the idea that we don't need to be paid to protest him and winning the election doesn't mean we all just go quietly away while he destroys this country.

April 15th-Been There, Ruled That

Today's moment of zen is dedicated to presidential immunity.  45 is trying to claim that the suit that started before his election, because he incited violence at his campaign rallies, shouldn't move forward because he has immunity.  He can thank the Supreme Court and Bill Clinton for why the judge didn't buy that argument when first tried a few weeks ago. The court ruled presidents can be sued for things that took place before their election....but nice try.

April 14th-Way Over Par

Today's moment of zen is dedicated to hypocrisy.  It's getting a lot of use these days as we watch 45 take another jaunt down to Florida for more golf and delicious chocolate cake.  Here is his quote on golfing: "I'm going to be working for you, I'm not going to have time to play golf."  Here is about wasting taxpayer money on trips: "Obama's motto: If I don't go on tax payer funded vacations and constantly fundraise then the terrorists win."  Well I guess he has lots of time and the terrorists are winning then. 

April 13th-Security!....He Need To Go!

Today's moment of zen is dedicated to being so wrong for your job that you need round the clock security.  In addition to Betsy Devos (who's security costs us a reported cool million a month), Scott Pruitt now apparently thinks he needs a 10 person 24/7 security detail.  Seriously, it's called the Environmental Protection Agency, not the Scott Pruitt Protection Agency.   Gutting environmental regulations that protect Americans is a dangerous job, but someone (as long as they have 10 security people) has got to do it!

April 12th-One Time on the Campaign Trail

Today's Moment of zen is dedicated to the past.  45 just can't move beyond reliving past glories and blaming those that came before him.  It's like he can't function if he isn't bragging about something he already accomplished.  It's almost like he's an insecure narcissistic child, but that can't possibly be the case can it?

March 11th-He obviously has no Spicey Senses....

Today's moment of zen is dedicated to the victims of the Holocaust.  How anyone, let alone someone who is supposed to be a trained communication professional, could tie himself up in knots and basically insinuate that Hitler's gas chambers weren't as bad as Assad's use of sarin gas is inexcusable.  Spicer is a lost cause, the press should really just stop showing up for his briefings.

April 10th-He's Going the Distance, He's Going for Speed...

Today's moment of zen is dedicated to Republicans in "deep red" Kansas.  Tuesday's race is shaping up to be much closer than expected.  A harbinger of 2018?  Time will tell...

April 9th-Taking Care of Business

Today's moment of zen is dedicated to the March Jobs Report. For some reason, 45 didn't mention it at all and now it's feeling unloved and doubting it's value.  It's almost like 45 only wants to take credit for high jobs reports or something, that can't be true...can it?

April 8th-And All The Little Ants Are Marching

Today's moment of zen is dedicated to explaining away your military actions.  45 can spin it anyway he wants but Assad's military base is back up and running and attacking the same city hit with chemical weapons.  Not sure our attack was very effective....

April 7th-War without Tears

Today's moment of zen is dedicated to Syrian civilians.  It's great that 45 was moved to action by the horrible suffering of innocent people. However, he still wants to ban Syrian refugees from the United States.  I'm not sure how much an air strike really helps, it's going to take a heck of a lot more to change things for the people of Syria.

April 6th-Without Our Traditions, Our Lives Would Be As Shaky As... As A Fiddler On The Roof!"

Today's moment of zen is dedicated to bipartisanship, tradition, and compromise.  They were delivered a blow by the turtle man today in the Senate. A sad day for those that believe the rules and traditions of the Senate gave us stronger government and better checks and balances.

April 5th-Smoke and Mirrors

Today's moment of zen is dedicated to Susan Rice who 45 is accusing of a very serious crime but without any evidence to back him up....unless you count The Drudge Report as a source. Cough, cough the smoke is getting pretty thick around POTUS.

April 4th-The Blame Game

Today's moment of zen is dedicated to the people of Syria.  45 blaming his predecessor for a chemical weapons attack that happened on his watch while offering nothing in terms of a solution to the problem is as weak and small as his hands.  Just once, stand up and be a leader not a tweeter POTUS.

April 3rd - But But Hillary!

Today's moment of zen is dedicated to Hillary.  Five months after the election and every time Trump needs the adulation of his base or a distraction from his failures, he tweets about her. Including asking about her receiving "answers" in a debate, that was from the primaries.  Last time I checked:  1. He won.  2. He has some pretty big issues to tackle as POTUS. 3.  Debates only have questions, the whole idea is you are supposed to provide answer that convince people you are right.  

April 2nd-You can't yell fire in a crowded theater

Today's moment of zen is dedicated to the limits of free speech. 45 is learning words matter and what you say has ramifications that aren't always protected by the first amendment.  I'm sure he'll tweet about how unfair it is soon enough.

April 1st-Fool's (Russian) Gold

Today's moment of zen is dedicated to being so rich that you "forget" about $150,000 in income you made on the federal financial disclosure forms you had to fill out as part of your lengthy 24 day tenure as National Security Adviser to 45 (including money from the Russians).
