July 10th-Play It Again...And Again...And Again

Today's moment of zen is dedicated to Chelsea Clinton.  45 tries to distract from the foibles of his children by bringing up the Clintons??  I'm shocked, it's just so unlike him!

July 5th-The Course of Human Events

Today's moment of zen is dedicated to NPR.  Apparently people mistook the tweeting of the Declaration of Independence on the 4th as a personal attack and call to revolution against 45.  Now mind you, while not a bad idea, that was not what was intended.  I do believe it's a reminder of two things.  One our educational system is sorely lacking.  Two people are idiots.  

June 29th-Apparently There Is A Line

Today's moment of zen is dedicate to the Morning Joe folks.  Trump went after Mika Brzezinski personally and many said he went too far in his personal attacks as if there was still some line he shouldn't cross.  Seriously, this guy has been saying horrible things for years.  What he said was disgusting and completely un-presidential but why is anyone surprised?  He is the same jerk he was before he became president and it's very obvious he's never going to change.  

June 28th-Free Shipping On All Magazine Covers

Today's moment of zen is dedicated to the "AmazonWashingtonPost" whom 45 is lashing out at because they had the gall to point out how he has fake Time magazine covers of himself hanging in his clubs.  Seriously, they guy who keeps calling mainstream media fake news, made up fake news covers of himself, you can't make this sh*t up.

June 19th-If We Build It

Today's moment of zen is dedicated to the president of Panama who had to remind 45 that the canal was built 100 years ago when 45 said "We did a great job building the Panama Canal".   I'm pretty sure since he wasn't alive he wasn't involved.

Jun 16th-An Insult to Witches

Today's moment of zen is dedicated to Rod Rosenstein.  45 seems a tiny bit upset that the person he told to give him justification for firing Comey wound up hiring a special counsel that is now investigating 45.  Also, POTUS can't decide if the witch hunt is real or phony.  What would be better for him?  If it's a real witch hunt then they are going after him and he's innocent but if he says it's a phony witch hunt does that make him guilty?

June 14th-Happy Birthday Mr. President

Today's moment of zen is dedicated to both Robert Mueller and the Senate.  Both gave 45 some unwelcome birthday presents today in the form of an obstruction of justice investigation and a curtailing of executive power when it comes to Russia. It's almost like it's my birthday!!

Today's moment of zen is dedicated to the Earth.  If reports are right and 45 pulls out of the Paris Accord we truly will forfeit our right to be a nation that leads the way for the world.  I hope all his followers enjoy a their #MAGA.  Do they not realize that America is technically part of the Earth and if we ruin it, there is no backup plan and no America to make great?  BTW, covfefe.

Today's moment of zen is for public education.  Betsy DeVos's idea of school choice is a private school that doesn't have to be held to any kind of academic standard, can discriminate against students, and can force students students with disabilities to sign away their rights under the individuals with disabilities act AND still get our tax payer dollars to pay for it.

Today's moment of zen is dedicated to the Democrats.  45's tweet tantrum about the Democrats and his firing of Comey only make him seem like he's more guilty and hiding something.  I'm surprised he can see out the gigantic hole he has dug himself into today.  He can't tweet his way out of this one!

May 9th-Easy D Firing

Today's moment of zen is dedicated to James Comey.  Seems nobody in DC likes this man right now.  POTUS didn't need much of an excuse to fire him today.  Comey gave him an "easy D" firing without it looking like it's because of the FBI's investigation into Russia.

May 8th-Professionalism and Class Under Fire

Today's moment of zen is dedicated to former acting attorney general Sally Yates.  This women was twitter attacked by 45, and then grilled by Cruz and his Republican cronies under oath and...SHE. WAS. AMAZING.  She proved today who is a partisan hack and who is a consummate professional career justice department attorney.

Yesterday and Today's moment of zen is dedicated to healthcare.  As much as Republicans and 45's cronies try to cover the stench of this horrible bill with roses they trampled in their Rose Garden victory lap, everyone (and by everyone, I am including the AARP, AHA, AMA, and about 47 other groups) knows it's a terrible piece of legislation. 

April 5th-Revenge of the Pre-Existing Condition

Today's moment of zen is dedicated to pre-existing conditions.  I personally have some listed on the Macarthur Amendment.  Thanks to the Republicans, I might have to worry that my family and I may face skyrocketing premiums when we change health insurance. Republicans would rather just chug a beer and take a victory lap around the rose garden than actually take the time and energy to fix what is wrong with healthcare in this country.

April 4th-The Birds and the Bullsh*t

Today's moment of zen is dedicated to family planning.   45 just appointed a person who doesn't believe in contraception to the HHS position in charge of contraception.  The most effective way to reduce abortion and unwanted pregnancies is education about how to prevent pregnancies AND access to birth control.  It just leaves me speechless.

May 3rd-If It's Not Good Enough For Congress, It's Not Good Enough for Us

Today's moment of zen is dedicated to we the people.  Congress is about to vote on healthcare legislation that: A. They and their staff are exempt from AND B. Has no CBO score so no one knows how many people it helps or hurts or how much it costs.  This is not the way you Govern. Congress is not above the law, they work for us.  We must all vote in 2018.

May 2nd-Wheeling and (Not) Dealing

Today's moment of zen is dedicated to good government deal making of which 45 knows nothing. His a bully and a whiner who can't make a deal to save his life in Washington so his next play is to try and consolidate power and change the rules.  What a loser. 

May 1st-Let's Make Trump take the U.S. Citizenship Test

Today's moment of zen is dedicated to history.  It is actually made up of a lot of facts you can't just bend to your will, like saying Andrew Jackson wanted to stop the civil when he died 16 years before it started.  Or saying no one asks why we had a civil war when that is an actual question on the US citizenship test.  

April 30th-Riddikulus Trumpus

Today's moment of zen is dedicated to the word "mandate".  45 must not understand that words aren't magical (at least for us muggles) and simply saying  "I mandate" something doesn't make it actually happen or get included in a healthcare bill.

April 29th-100 Days, 100 Nights

Today's moment of zen is dedicated to reality.  45 doesn't live in it but the rest of us do and the sad truth that it's only been 100 days.

April 28th-Describe Your Feelings in Three Letters or Less!

Today's moment of zen is dedicated to National Security.  45 needs to stop his inane tweets about North Korea disrespecting China and ending it with one of his signature lines (guess was it Bad! or Sad!).  He sounds like a petulant child.

Today's moment of zen is dedicate to our National Parks.  How dare 45 try to blame Democrats for theoretically ruining family vacations to those parks when he's: A. Proposed funding cuts to those parks B.  Just signed an executive order to review national monuments going back to 1996 in hopes of rolling back protections C. Probably wants to build Trump golf courses in all our national parks.  OK, so the last one was made up but I wouldn't put it past him to try!

April 26th-Let IT Sink Back In The Ocean

Today's moment of zen is dedicated to Puerto Rico, apparently you are just as much a disaster as Obamacare.  Your offenses merit a call out by 45 BUT without any context as to why you are such a disaster.  Don't worry though, our short attention span POTUS will probably move on by tomorrow.  I mean he has run out of North American countries to attack but the Caribbean is full of easy targets...

April 25th-Oh Canada...How Could You?

Today's moment of zen is dedicated to Canada.  First we go after Mexico and now it's Canada's turn.  Apparently they have been screwing us on milk and lumber.   Maybe that's 45's strategy, just keep pissing off our neighbors until they build walls on their sides of the border eh?

April 24th-Coming to AMAR-A-LAGO.

Today's moment of zen is dedicated to conflicts of interest.  The state department posted on their promotional website "Share America" a travel blog style article promoting 45's private club.  Seriously, this happened and they only took it down after the potential problems with it were pointed out to them.  I really think that POTUS could sign an executive order forcing American companies to only sell Trump branded crap and people still would not care about how this man is profiting from the presidency.  

April 23rd-I'll Gladly Get The Money From Mexico Tuesday If You Pay For It Today!

Today's moment of zen is dedicated to the Democrats.  Hold strong, remember by opposing any border wall funding in the budget resolution this week you are just helping 45 stick to his campaign promise to have Mexico pay for the wall.  

April 22nd-That's A Sweet Earth You Might Say!

Today's moment of zen is dedicated to the earth, you know we only have one right?  45 actually tweeted that he's "committed to preserving the natural beauty of our nation". He has already demonstrated that by allowing companies to dump coal ash into our waterways, letting birds eat animals shot with led and then die from it, and releasing a budget that dismantles and guts funding for the EPA.   He really is that much of a hypocrite.  I just hope that he doesn't destroy the beauty of this nation before we can get him out of office.  

April 21st-Dear America, I.O.U. 1 Border Wall, Your Friend, Mexico

Today's moment of zen is dedicated to the government funding bill. What should be a routine bill to keep the government funded looks like it might be headed for a showdown if 45 insists it includes money for his border wall.  You remember the border wall, the one that Mexico is paying for in some hypothetical way, in the future. Maybe they wrote us an I.O.U? That's got to be worth something right?  I mean it couldn't be that Americans are going to wind up bearing the cost at the same time domestic programs are gutted right?  

April 20th-Aloha From Some Island in the Pacific

Today's moment of zen is dedicated to Hawaii aka "an island in the Pacific".  Apparently Jeff Sessions doesn't think a judge (a Federal judge) on some island in the pacific (a part of the United States) should be able to have a say on 45's travel ban.  Someone needs to give him a history and a civics lesson stat!

Today's moment of zen is dedicated the "armada" that was lost at sea, well sort of lost at sea since apparently the White House and the Pentagon couldn't quite agree on where it was or where it was headed for the past week.

Today's moment of zen is dedicated to 45's "Buy American Hire American" hypocrisy of an executive order.  The man and his family make all their clothing brands in China, hire foreign workers, yet have the gall to say that the problem is everyone else isn't putting America First.  The hypocrisy is mind numbing....

Today's moment of zen is dedicated to all the protesters (which is another way of saying all the unpaid protesters).  45 just can't wrap his tiny hands around the idea that we don't need to be paid to protest him and winning the election doesn't mean we all just go quietly away while he destroys this country.

April 15th-Been There, Ruled That

Today's moment of zen is dedicated to presidential immunity.  45 is trying to claim that the suit that started before his election, because he incited violence at his campaign rallies, shouldn't move forward because he has immunity.  He can thank the Supreme Court and Bill Clinton for why the judge didn't buy that argument when first tried a few weeks ago. The court ruled presidents can be sued for things that took place before their election....but nice try.

April 14th-Way Over Par

Today's moment of zen is dedicated to hypocrisy.  It's getting a lot of use these days as we watch 45 take another jaunt down to Florida for more golf and delicious chocolate cake.  Here is his quote on golfing: "I'm going to be working for you, I'm not going to have time to play golf."  Here is about wasting taxpayer money on trips: "Obama's motto: If I don't go on tax payer funded vacations and constantly fundraise then the terrorists win."  Well I guess he has lots of time and the terrorists are winning then. 

April 13th-Security!....He Need To Go!

Today's moment of zen is dedicated to being so wrong for your job that you need round the clock security.  In addition to Betsy Devos (who's security costs us a reported cool million a month), Scott Pruitt now apparently thinks he needs a 10 person 24/7 security detail.  Seriously, it's called the Environmental Protection Agency, not the Scott Pruitt Protection Agency.   Gutting environmental regulations that protect Americans is a dangerous job, but someone (as long as they have 10 security people) has got to do it!
